We were originally going to write a couple paragraphs here to try and make us sound cool, and make it sound like we made the greatest musical masterpiece since (insert really famous album here). But the truth is that we simply had the time of our lives making this album. We made songs influenced by country, rock, punk rock, ska, blues, alternative, grunge, and we may have even rapped. We are absolutely proud of every song and we played music from our hearts, and it made us happy. We hope it makes some of you happy. It was by far one of the coolest experiences ever. If you want to read our puff piece its right here:
“The Naked City UnderGround’s debut LP album “Comic Book Heroes & Honky Tonk Zeroes” masterfully blends the band’s many influences together, and takes the listener on a 13 song ride through the minds of group founders James (Jimbo) Sordahl and Billy (Billy Drums) Zurisk. Together, the talented duo has teamed up with a rotation of Las Vegas’s best musicians to capture their vision and create a diverse sound that blends together many musical stylings. With hard hitting drums and guitar driven energy, the emotionally charged lyrics and singing of Ol’ Jimbo takes the listener on a journey that could only be told through a lifetime of hard living, love and heartbreak.”
